Gifts from Build-A-Bear are a perfect way to personalize any occasion and a special stuffed animal on Valentine’s Day only makes the day that much sweeter.
I must admit, I didn’t buy into the hoopla of Valentine’s Day for the longest time. Why have only 1 day a year to tell those in your life how much you love them when you should be doing that every day? In a way, I still hold on to that sentiment. Yet, I now understand that in the midst of our busy lives it’s nice to have a set day that’s meant to pause, reflect, and appreciate the people we care about.
While you may believe Valentine’s Day is just a “Hallmark†holiday as I once did, this survey from Build-A-Bear workshop reveals most Americans are far less cynical:
- Almost all (92%) of Americans agree that Valentine’s Day isn’t just about romance – it’s about showing people you care about them.
- 82% believe the holiday is more about love than just spending money.
- Americans prefer to give Valentines (73%) versus receive them (27%).
- Americans prefer to be gifted with experiences (82%), versus more tangible gifts (18%).
- A personalized gift (64%) is preferred to a handmade (22%), or expensive gift (8%).
I know for me, the best gifts at Valentine’s Day whether to give or receive are clearly from the heart. Though it’s not just about romance anymore, but also a day for kids, friends and family. While Build-A-Bear is a perfect gift to share with loved ones on Valentines Day, this year you can also give back when you create your own Build-A-Bear.
This Valentine’s Day season, Build-A-Bear Workshop is giving you the opportunity to care for others with its “Million Hearts, Million Wishes, Million Ways to Help†campaign benefiting the Make-A-Wish Foundation, donating a minimum of $250,000.
