4 Seasons Trees Craft
It’s amazing what you can do with a simple cardboard roll. This time, we’re taking it a step, or 4, further with our Cardboard Roll 4 Seasons Trees Craft!
What’s your favorite season? Mine has got to be fall, though these days with the snow of winter freshly fallen on the ground yet again, I’m more than happy to see spring. There’s just something about the colors of both of those seasons, for very different reasons. One is springing back to the life, the other is falling in transition. It’s quite a beautiful cycle.
And I happen to think our 4 Seasons Trees Craft is quite beautiful, too, with a simple cut on a cardboard roll. You can make these trees however you like, the main craft idea is the tree itself. But I liked the idea of making a tree for every season. If you’re crafting along the same route you’ll also need acrylic paints in green, white, pink, purple, orange, red, and yellow. Basically any color you associate with a season. The rest of the supplies include a brown marker and scissors.
4 Seasons Trees Craft
Supplies needed:
- Cardboard rolls
- Acrylic paint – green, white, pink, purple, orange, red, and yellow
- Brown marker
- Scissors
First, fold a cardboard roll flat.
Next, cut along bottom, leaving a ring for the tree to stand.
From the bottom cut, go up along the fold. Then cut a wavy, leafy pattern towards the top. See image above.
Color the trunk with the brown marker. Draw branches extending to the top.
Dab with paint over branches in your choice of colors. Also paint the bottom ring in seasonal colors, too. Let dry.
Once dry, draw more branches over the paint if needed.
We have many more creative cardboard roll crafts, too! And, whether spring or fall, be sure to find all of our fun craft ideas at Our Kid Things!
