Being a mom definitely has its challenges, and it can be easy to focus solely on the bad days of tantrums, arguments, stomped feet and sibling rivalry. Oh my word, the sibling rivalry. Wait, where was I? Challenges, right. There are challenges. But there are also so many rewards.
I know for me, it’s the little things. Like when my kids come home after school and can’t wait to give me a hug. They excitedly tell me all about their day, in every detail that’s important to them. Not what they learned, but how Billy got in trouble for flicking a rubberband across the room. Their energy is effervescent, I can barely keep up. And that’s what’s so great. Then, as I’m sitting on the couch, they’ll argue over who gets to sit next to me even though there’s enough room for both.
And we come full circle back to arguments. It’s lovely while it last, however.
While this infographic is based on the results of a poll in Australia, it just goes to show that a mother’s love for her children is universal. We all want what’s best for our kids.
