Aluminum Foil Owl Craft
When the kids go back to school and the scent of fall is close behind, we start thinking of owls and owl crafts. We’ve made a few in the past, like these Fall Leaf Owls and our Craft Stick Owls. This Aluminum Foil Owl Craft is another fun one to add to our list!
Made with sheets of aluminum foil, this is an easy afternoon craft that produces striking results. We started by cutting a circle out of the foil using the rim of a bowl as our template. Then, cut a V shape on top to form the owl’s ears.
Next, the really fun part, is coloring your owl in any way you want. We used Sharpie Paint Markers to give our Aluminum Foil Owl Craft wings, a beak, and a bunch of colorful feathers. Finally, add a set of large googly eyes and you have one of our favorite finished crafts this year!
Aluminum Foil Owl Craft
Supplies needed:
- sharpie Paint Markers, oil-based
- aluminum foil
- large googly eyes
- scissors
- glue
First, fold a large sheet of aluminum foil multiple times. Using the rim of a cereal bowl as the template, press down on the aluminum foil so it creates an indent. Cut out the circle.
Cut a V shape into the circle, to form the top of the owl. Glue googly eyes in place.
Begin coloring and decorating your owl with paint markers, or regular permanent markers can be used, as well. Let the color and glue dry.
