An Enhanced Gaming Experience
This is a sponsored post for the Turtle Beach Recon 200 through BabbleBoxx. All opinions are my own.
My older boys are like most kids these days. They love video games. The sounds and graphics and effects and battling other players, not to mention each other. I’m still stuck in the days of Pac-Man and Frogger, but games and gaming audio have come a long way. Personally, however, I don’t want to hear all those awesome booms and bangs. And that’s where the Turtle Beach® Recon 200 gaming headset saves the day.
With the Recon 200 available from Turtle Beach as well as on Amazon, my kids can still have the crystal clear sound experience of their game whether through an XBox One, PS4, their PC or mobile while mom enjoys her peace and quiet. Well, relative peace and quiet. I still have a 1 year old happily shrieking at his toys.
I wish I can say that my teenage son spent time reading through the easy set-up guide and getting to know his new headset, but that wasn’t the case. He was too excited to try it out. A frantic tear out of the box and he was quickly adjusting the metal-reinforced headband to perfectly fit over his head. Ready to play!
Upon the game startup screen, we found out what sets the Recon 200 apart. When my kids are playing, louder is better, and this headset delivers enhanced gaming with powerful amplified audio and 40mm over-ear speakers that produces crisp highs and thundering lows. My teen is a musician, when he’s not playing games he’s on his guitar. So a good sound is extremely important. There’s even Bass Boost, with enough enhanced thump to not only hear it, but feel it, too.
For those with an XBox One, the Recon 200 is optimized to deliver immersive Windows Sonic for Headphones surround sound. My kids play a lot of their games on a Windows 10 PC these days, and this gives the same effect on that platform, as well. You can easily switch this on for the best sound with onboard controls for Master Volume, Variable Mic Monitoring, and for selecting between Xbox One and PS4.
Because the social aspect is a big part of the gaming experience, a great gaming headset has to have a convenient, clear, and reliable way to talk to friends and other players. Or so I’ve heard. We didn’t have that with Pac-Man and Frogger. The Recon 200 from Turtle Beach has a flip-up mic that picks up your voice loud and clear, then can quickly flip up to mute. Useful for those times when mom comes in the room asking about dirty socks or reminding when it’s time to walk the dog.
Not only that, but there’s variable mic monitoring so that you can hear and adjust the volume of your own voice inside the headset so you never have to shout. It’s like Turtle Beach thought of everything for this Recon 200 gaming headset. Including an all-day battery life with over 12-hours of gaming per charge.
Teens are so hard to shop for, but this headset makes the perfect gift for an enhanced gaming experience for the gamer in your life. The Turtle Beach® Recon 200 gaming headset is designed for Xbox One and PS4TM, and also works great with Nintendo SwitchTM, PC, and mobile devices. You can find more information along with how to purchase on the Turtle Beach website and it’s also available on Amazon.
