Back to school! Back to school! Everybody back to school!
That’s what’s I’ve been singing to Jedi for a few weeks now.
School starts in 2 weeks and I’m a little excited.
This year will also mark Buzz’s entrance into kindergarten. While this has me a bit worried to start with, I know it will be great for him in the long run. And for me. I love the child, but I think we need some time away from one another.
This will also mean that we need to get double the school supplies. Luckily, they both already have a backpack. But there are gobs of No. 2 pencils and crayons and notebooks and boxes of tissue to purchase. I learned last year, though, that the best bet is just to get the general, even generic, variety since the kids don’t get to keep their own stuff. It was a bit of a bummer when we packed Jedi’s pencil box just so last year only to have everything added to a community pool anyway.
Then, there are clothes. Last year, we stocked Jedi’s wardrobe considerably well. I was lucky to run into some gift cards around that time, and they took care of the bulk of it. This year, most of it still seems to fit him, thankfully. And along with Buzz getting mostly hand-me-down’s from friends, their wardrobe choices are pretty much set. It’s always nice to get a few new items to mark the new year, though, so I’m sure I’ll give in on a few things.
What I’m trying to say, in this long-about way, is that I hope our back to school shopping will be fairly minimal and pain-free this year.
Except for socks. My boys are in dire need of socks.
Which is where Crocs comes in. Crocs has 13 new styles this season, for every kid from kindergarten thru grade 8, that are school-approved on the outside (because they’re close-toed and close-heeled), with the same comfort in the inside.
The following video showcases 9 of their new styles. Not only are the shoes clickable, but there are Easter Eggs hidden throughout to provide finders a surprise with your purchase.
Did you find the Easter Egg? Here’s a hint:
Go check out the new school-approved styles, and while you’re there enter to win a family vacation to San Diego (no purchase necessary).
