Growing up with two older rough and tumble brothers, I was a little worried if my girl would only gravitate toward action figures and all things blue. Not that there’s anything wrong with that, at all. And she does like those things. She can also handle herself against those boys with the best of them. But she’s growing into her own, as well. There’s a bit of a girlie girl in there, who loves pink and tutus and frill.
And she adores Barbie.
Abby absolutely loves her Barbie in the Pink Shoes. The doll changes her look with a twirl of her skirt, and my daughter was amazed when I showed her this. She’s been carrying her new doll around with her everywhere, and watching the accompanying DVD whenever she can. I may have a future ballerina on my hands!
