Bouncing Paper Bunnies Craft
Hippity hop hop! I don’t know about you, but it seems to me like this winter has dragged on forever. And sometimes, we need to pretend it’s spring just to feel revived. What better way to envision spring than with Easter and cute little bouncing bunnies? This Bouncing Paper Bunnies Craft is getting ready to bounce on down the bunny trail! Soon. I hope.
We’ve done some really fun Easter bunny crafts in years past. Some of our favorites include these Craft Stick Puffy Paint Bunnies, our Cupcake Liner Bunny Puppets, and our adorable Cotton Tail Bunny Behinds Easter Craft. And this Bouncing Paper Bunnies Craft is another favorite added to the list.
This Bouncing Paper Bunnies Craft comes to life with the fold of a paper. Just 2 folds in half a sheet of cardstock. Cut some bunny feet, add some bunny ears, glue on googly eyes, a small pom for a nose, and draw on white whiskers with my personal favorite white metallic marker pen. Hoppity hop hop!
Supplies needed: Choose the color of cardstock for your bouncing bunnies. Cut the full sheet of cardstock in half lengthwise. Make a snip about an inch in on one end of the strip of cardstock. Form half circle bunny feet shapes. Make a fold of the bottom, bunny feet. The bunny feet will stick out from the rest of the bunny, so make the fold larger than the other fold. Bring the paper to about where the bunny feet and fold again. The two top folded parts of the paper should be about the same size while the bottom, feet need to be longer. So long fold, short fold. 2 folds, 3 sections; bottom, middle, top. Trim away any excess from the top. With the excess paper, form 2 bunny ear shapes. Cut pieces from the white cardstock to fit inside the ears. Glue the ears to the back of the top, head section. Glue on googly eyes and a pom nose. Draw a mouth with the pink marker. Draw whiskers and toes with the white marker. Play with the folds to get the bunny to stand and bounce correctly. We made our bunny faces slightly concave, not a fold but bent in, to give them more stability which worked well. Though some of our bunnies didn’t need any help and bounced well on their own. This is such a cute spring and Easter craft! We hope you have as much with these Bouncing Paper Bunnies as we did! And be sure to check out more of our Easter crafts at Our Kid Things!
