Bubble Wrap Fall Tree Craft

Who doesn’t love bubble wrap? No matter how old you are, you just can’t resist at least a pop or two. But who knew it could also be such a great art supply? In fact, bubble wrap is perfect in our Bubble Wrap Fall Tree Craft. We love not only the texture, but all the vibrant fall colors, too!

Bubble Wrap Fall Tree Craft

We made our fall trees in the colors you normally associate with fall; red, orange, yellow, brown, and a touch of green. I don’t know why, but we always throw in purple for fall, too. Paint the colors on bubble wrap and press our Free Printable Tree Top Template into the paint. Such a fun fall tree craft!

Fall Tree Bubble Wrap Art Craft

To make our bubble wrap trees, you’ll need our tree top printable.

Craft supplies needed.

You’ll also need a sheet of bubble wrap, cardstock in two different shades of brown, acrylic paint in assorted fall colors, scissors, and a glue stick.

  • Tree Top Printable
  • Bubble wrap
  • Acrylic paint – assorted fall colors
  • Cardstock – tan, brown
  • Scissors
  • Glue stick

Fall Tree Art Craft Step by Step Directions

Begin by printing the tree top on regular white paper.

Paint bubble wrap in fall colors.

Then, gather a sheet of bubble wrap your fall-themed acrylic paint colors. We used red, orange, yellow, brown, green, and a touch of purple. Paint your sheet of bubble with these colors.

Press tree top into bubble wrap.

Now, press the tree top into the bubble wrap. Press your hand around the paper to make sure it’s evenly covered.

Once covered, lift the paper from the bubble wrap.

Let paint dry completely.

Let the tree tops dry completely.

Cut tree tops.

When the tree tops are dry, cut out along the wavy outline. The lines may be somewhat hard to see with the paint, so just do your best.

Cut trunk from brown cardstock.

Also, cut a strip of brown cardstock for the tree trunk.

Glue trunk to cardstock.

Next, glue the tree trunk to the bottom of a sheet of tan cardstock. 

Glue tree top above trunk.

Glue the tree top in place above the trunk.

Bubble Wrap Fall Trees

If you want to make more fall trees, and you’re gonna want to make more, you will need to reapply the paint colors on the bubblewrap.
