Thus, even though it’s nearing the end of summer, we are still enduring a heat wave, which means it’s still the perfect time for a fun pufferfish craft like our Bubble Wrap Pufferfish Craft. I mean, bubble wrap and pufferfish, what could be better?

Of course, we’ve included a Free Printable Pufferfish Template for all the pieces and parts needed. So all you need to do is cut in the colors of your choice, paste, and stamp in bubble wrap. It’s a really fun summer craft for kids from preschool to elementary age. And maybe even adults, too. So puffy!

Colorful Pufferfish Bubble Wrap Craft

Puffer Fish Craft Supplies Needed
- Pufferfish Template
- Bubble wrap
- White acrylic paint
- Cardstock – white, colors of your choice
- Googly eyes, large
- Scissors
- Glue stick
Bubble Wrap Pufferfish Craft Step by Step Directions
Begin by printing the pufferfish template and cut out the pieces.

Then, gather two different colors of cardstock.

Trace the large circle from the template on the cardstock. Cut out the circles.

You’ll also need to trace and cut out the two fin shapes in one of the colors of cardstock. You’ll need a white circle, too. You can either use the circle from the template, or a 1.5” circle paper punch. Put the fins and white circle aside for now.

Now, cut one of the large circles roughly in half.

Glue the half circle to the bottom of the full circle.

Next, lay out a sheet of bubble wrap and white paint. Paint the sheet of bubble wrap with a thin coat of white paint. Too much paint and the bubbles won’t be as pronounced, it’ll just be a glob of paint.

Place the circle in the bubble wrap and press all around to make sure the bubbles are as full and even as possible.

Gently lift the circle from the bubble wrap.

Let the paint dry completely.

When the paint is dry, add googly eyes close to where the two colors meet.

Glue the white circle in place for the mouth.

Finally, glue the fins to the side of the pufferfish. So cute and so puffy! So fun, too!
