The secrets to any good kids craft is that it should be colorful, needs to be easy to follow, and has to be fun. Add in some mixed materials like bubble wrap with paint and kids are going to have a great time. So by that definition, it only makes sense that these Bubble Wrap Starfish are sure to be a hit!
A perfect under the sea craft idea for summer as well as beach visits, these Bubble Wrap Starfish use only a few supplies. You’ll first need some bubble wrap. That makes sense right? And what kid doesn’t love the chance to play with bubble wrap? I know I still do. It makes my heart pop. Then, brightly colored paints, construction paper, and scissors.
We simply sketched then cut our starfish freehand, but you can search Google Starfish Template for many different options that would make it easier.
Bubble Wrap Starfish
Supplies needed:
- bubble wrap
- bright colored paints (pink, blue, orange etc.)
- construction paper
- scissors
- pencil
- paintbrush
First, take a piece of construction paper and use a pencil to sketch out your starfish, or Google for a free starfish image template that you can print. Next, use your scissors to cut out your star and a small piece of bubble wrap.
Then, take the paints of your choice, preferably 3 colors, and paint onto the bubble wrap overlaying each of the colors to give the starfish an ombré effect.
