Bubble Wrap Starfish Craft
The secrets to any good kids craft is that it should be colorful, needs to be easy to follow, and has to be fun. Add in some mixed materials like bubble wrap with paint and kids are going to have a great time. So by that definition, it only makes sense that these Bubble Wrap Starfish are sure to be a hit!
This is a perfect under the sea craft idea for summer as well as beach visits. We simply sketched then cut our starfish freehand, but you can search Google Starfish Template for many different options that would make it easier.
Make a Starfish Craft with Bubble Wrap
To make our starfish craft you’ll first need some bubble wrap, along with some brightly colored acrylic paints, construction paper, and scissors.
Bubble Wrap Starfish Craft Supplies Needed
- bubble wrap
- bright colored paints (pink, blue, orange etc.)
- construction paper
- scissors
- pencil
- paintbrush
Paper Starfish Craft Step by Step Directions
First, take a piece of construction paper and use a pencil to sketch out your starfish, or search for a free starfish image template that you can print.
Next, cut out your star and a small piece of bubble wrap.
Then, take the paints of your choice, preferably 3 colors, and paint onto the bubble wrap. Overlay each of the colors to give the starfish an ombre effect.
Lastly, press the bubble wrap on to your starfish and peel off slowly. Let it dry. And you’re ready to head under the sea! What neat things do you think you’ll find this summer?
