Fall Scarecrow Cardboard Roll Craft Step by Step Directions
Begin by painting a cardboard roll in your choice of colors.

Let the paint dry completely.

While the paint is drying, print the scarecrow template and cut out the pieces. Trace and cut the circle from tan cardstock, and the hat shape as well as one of the strips from brown cardstock. Cut the brown strip in half. The other strip you’ll need to cut from cardstock that matches the paint color used.

You will also need to cut small, thin strips from yellow cardstock for the hair. We used 8 strips, 4 on one side and 4 on the other. But the amount of hair for your scarecrow is up to you.

Glue the yellow strips in tufts to the top sides of the tan circle.

Once the hair is in place, glue the hat piece over top of it.

Add googly eyes.

Draw a mouth with the black marker and a triangle nose.

Now, when the paint on the cardboard roll is dry, flatten the roll with your hand.

Make snips on both sides at the top of the roll, cutting roughly two inches down.

Insert the long strip piece into the slips for arms.

Glue the two brown strips to the bottom of the roll for legs.

Lastly, glue the face of the scarecrow to the top of the cardboard roll. Add a few final crosshatch marks.

Such a fun fall craft! We hope you love creating it together as much as we did!
