Cardboard Roll Bee Craft Step by Step Directions
Begin by painting a toilet paper size cardboard roll yellow.

Let the paint dry completely.

While the paint is drying, print the bee template. Cut out the pieces. Keep the wings on white printer paper. Trace the circle on yellow cardstock and cut out.

Add small googly eyes to the yellow circle. Also draw a simple happy mouth with the black sharpie.

Next, cut a black pipe cleaner in half. Bend the pipe cleaner into a V shape and curl the ends with your fingers.

Tape the pipe cleaner to the back top of the yellow circle for antennae.

Now, with the paint on the cardboard roll dry, cut two notches on one end, on opposite sides. Also cut a single notch on the other end of the roll.

Insert the beginning of the black yarn in one of the notches.

Wrap the yarn around the cardboard roll multiple times. Finish by inserting the end of the yarn into one of the other notches.

Insert the yellow circle into the two top notches on the cardboard roll.

Lastly, glue the wings to the back of the cardboard roll. You can also add more details to the wings with the black sharpie. Remember, the black sharpie will bleed through printer paper, so be sure to detail the wings with protection for your table underneath the paper.

This is my kind of bee!
