My oldest son, my big kid, my Jedi. He turned 10 this past weekend, on the 10th. So not only is he making his way into double digits, but that also made it his golden birthday. It wasn’t only his birthday that we celebrated, however. Do you know the Energizer Bunny turns 25 this month as well?
Since I’ve been a mom long enough to know that every birthday and most holidays call for batteries anyway, because what fun is a new toy if it can’t work right away, this was the perfect occasion to head to Walmart for packs of Energizer Max. There, I found an endcap with a special birthday promotion.
By purchasing 2 packs of specially marked Energizer Max batteries, you will receive a $10 Walmart gift card! Also, if it can get any better, beginning November 1st there will be a digital coupon placed on Walmart.com and coupons.com for $1.00 off MAX AA8pack or larger. Well that really makes it a happy birthday! And a Merry Christmas, since that’s what I plan to use my $10 gift card for.
When your house is full of toys that beep and move, and only adding more, batteries are nothing short of a necessity. They bring the special occasion to life. This birthday celebration we were covered thanks to Energizer Max, and along with the bunny they had a great birthday together! It was one to remember.
We’ve been through a lot in 10 years, Jedi and I. He’s grown into a really great kid, and I can’t believe he’s the age he is. I know it’s cliche, and I’m pretty sure I say it every birthday, but it really does seem like just yesterday he was my little baby. And now he stands up to my chin and I can barely lift him off the floor anymore.
Happy Birthday to my big kid! Happy Birthday to the Energizer Bunny, too!
I hope you have many, many more wonderful birthdays together. May they keep going and going and going…
