Googly Eyed Cereal Snack Mix

This post is part of a social shopper marketing insight campaign with Pollinate Media Group®, Kellogg’s and The J.M. Smucker Company but all my opinions are my own. #pmedia #SamsClubBTS http://my-disclosur.es/OBstV

Getting ready for school isn’t just about the latest in back to school supplies. To start school like a champion, there’s also making sure kids stay sharp until and after that first day back bell rings, even through the carefree days of summer. Though snacks can also be fun, too, like our Googly Eyed Cereal Snack Mix!

We make sure to pick up a book and add to our reading list every day. Not only is it good for our brains, but it’s also nice quiet time. Luckily, by purchasing specially marked Kellogg’s and J.M. Smucker Company products at Sam’s Club, like boxes of Kellogg’s Froot Loops and Kellogg’s Frosted Mini Wheats, we can keep adding to our library with a great Scholastic Books offer while helping our classrooms, too! You can stock up on all your back to school shopping at Sam’s Club while getting books for you and your local schools with over 80 full-length Scholastic titles to choose from!

Cereal is one of my go-to anytime snacks. Great for breakfast, yes, but with so many other possibilities. In fact, my kids have picked up my knack for eating it straight from the box. Perhaps an even tastier option, however, is our Cereal Snack Mix! It makes a wonderful way to munch while reading our favorite books!

So colorful with so many amazing flavors, there’s something in this Cereal Snack Mix for everyone. Loaded with Froot Loops and Frosted Mini Wheat cereals, we also added pretzel sticks and chocolate candies.

Add it all in a large bowl then let the kids get their hands in there to mix it all up.

We put ours in plastic baggies for easy book-side snacking. And to make it really fun, we made our bags into snack monster buddies by drawing on jagged mouths with a black marker and adhering large googly eyes before adding our Cereal Snack Mix. Because everything is better with googly eyes. And the snack monsters want to read, too. Then add a twist tie and the top is like the monster’s crazy hair.

  1. I have teen girls that no longer want to eat breakfast in the morning but are constantly grabbing dry cereal and stuffing them in baggies just before boarding the bus. Oh yeah mine went back at the end of July. I like this idea and will be doing that for them instead. I bet they’d like it more too. I may also try making something similar once it is Fall. You know something with dry cereal, pretzels and reese’s pieces.
