Chalkpaint Mini Pumpkins
We’re always looking for new ways to decorate our pumpkins. I like doing the traditional carve with the kids for the pumpkins on the porch, but the mini pumpkins are especially fun to experiment on and get creative with. And it’s so easy to get creative with these Chalkpaint Mini Pumpkins!
I’ve had a bottle of chalkpaint on hand because of other projects, so when I bought this bag of mini pumpkins I just knew it was the first thing I wanted to try. These Chalkpaint Mini Pumpkins are so easy to decorate and so fun! Then simply wipe off and start over again!
The only rule here is to make sure the chalkpaint on your Chalkpaint Mini Pumpkins is completely dry.
We used regular sticks of chalk and I do have to admit that even after waiting until the paint was dry, spots of it still came off as we drew on our faces. We didn’t mind though, and it was easy to do a quick paint touch up and draw on a different area of the pumpkin in the meantime. However, you could also use chalk pens for a possibly easier and smoother application.
Chalkpaint Mini Pumpkins
Supplies needed:
- mini pumpkins
- chalkpaint
- foam paintbrush and smaller paintbrush
- chalk
Starting with a clean, dry mini pumpkin, begin applying chalkpaint. We used both a foam paintbrush for the general application as well as a smaller, more precise paintbrush to get into the little nooks and around the stem.
Let dry completely. Another layer can be added if needed. Once dried, begin drawing faces! To start over, simply dab gently with a damp cloth and dry.
