Cinnamon Raisin Mini Muffins

Cinnamon Raisin Mini Muffins

It’s almost a month now since my kids have gone back to school. If there’s one thing I’ve learned in this time it’s that I better have a snack ready for them when they hop off that school bus home at the end of the day. My kids can be scary when they’re hungry.

Of course, I like snacks that are quick and easy. That should be just a common phrase around here, quick and easy. But I also prefer wholesome and healthy. That way I can hide all the chocolate for myself.

Luckily, I’ve found that my kids love California Raisins. California Raisins are an all-natural, dried-by-the-sun fruit you can feel good about sending with your kids as they head back to school or offering as an after-school snack. Convenient and portable, California Raisins are a great choice for wholesome, healthy, on-the-go snacking, with a sweetness that they come by naturally. With California Raisins, the nutrition label tells a great story: Zero fat, no cholesterol and no added sugar. Plus, raisins offer 9% of your daily fiber and potassium, and 6% of your daily iron. (per quarter cup serving)

These Cinnamon Raisin Mini Muffins are a great bite-sized after-school treat. They would also make a wonderful running-for-the-bus breakfast snack. And so easy to make, because isn’t that my motto around here. Quick and easy.

Simply stir all the dry ingredients together, except for the brown sugar which gets mixed with the butter, milk, and egg. Then combine them both until well blended. Take a small spoon and fill each paper-lined muffin cup about ¾ of the way full. Sprinkle each with a cinnamon sugar mixture before placing in a 375 oven for 10 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.

  1. My kids love raisins and these look so yummy! I’m thinking these would be good to make-ahead and then freeze so they can grab them in the morning before school and pop them in the microwave.

  2. My kids love raisins also, so these would be perfect. We are only in the first month of school & they are already dragging in the mornings. Something quick and easy is perfect for us.
