I love ice cream. It’s a strong declaration, but you know how people who think they’re funny say, “if you love it so much then you should marry it”? I would marry ice cream. And we would live happily ever after.

I love ice cream with chocolate swirls and hot fudge. I love it alongside cake and with whipped cream on top. Then, after attending the Blue Bunny demo at Walmart, I found a new way to love it. Between 2 chocolate chip cookies.

The Ahoy’wich, as it was called, inspired me. There’s another round of Blue Bunny demos happening at Walmart between 7/9-7/12 so be sure to check them out for more inspiration!

So while at Walmart, I picked up 2 varieties of Blue Bunny ice cream; Vanilla and Caramel Fudge Brownie. I also grabbed a box of Chips Ahoy cookies, some chocolate syrup, and whipped cream. It’s time to make a Cookie Crumbles Milkshake!

Actually, it’s time to make more than one milkshake, because my kids love ice cream, too. We all scream for ice cream, literally. And these hand-made, thick, and chunky milkshakes are a great treat at the end of the day.

You need a lot of ice cream for a good, thick milk shake. I’m talking 7 scoops. I used 2 scoops of Caramel Fudge Brownie, the rest Vanilla. Pour in about a 1/4 cup of milk to make it creamy and work the ice cream with a spoon until it’s mashed up.

Smash 2 or 3 chocolate chip cookies and add the crumbles as well, leaving just a bit to sprinkle on top. Finish with whipped cream, chocolate syrup, and the cookie crumbles. Oh yes, I do!

Serve with a straw and a spoon! For utter decadence, maybe more chocolate syrup, too. That’s up to you, though. And that is how the cookie crumbles and true love is formed.
