Cupcake Liner Snow Globe Craft

Turn a cupcake liner into the loveliest, and possibly one of the simplest, winter crafts with our beautiful Cupcake Liner Snow Globe Craft! This is such a fun, quite beautiful winter craft for kids of all ages that has so many possibilities.

Cupcake Liner Snow Globe Craft

Our Free Printable Snow Globe Template has the base for the snow globe. All you need to do is trace and cut it out of black cardstock. Then, add a cupcake liner of whatever color you’d like and draw your design with a white paint pen.

We used white paint pens to make our drawings for a simplistic, lovely look, but you could always experiment with different colors of markers. You could also use stickers or whatever you happen to have on hand.

For our winter snow globe craft, you will first want to print the snow globe template.

You’ll also need cupcake liners in assorted colors, black cardstock, white paint pen and/or paint markers, scissors, and a glue stick.

Cupcake Liner Snow Globe Craft Supplies Needed

Winter Snow Globe Craft Step by Step Directions

Begin by printing the snow globe template and cut out.

Trace and cut out template.

Trace the template on black cardstock and cut out.

Glue cupcake liner to center of circle.

Now, flatten a cupcake liner in your chosen color. Glue the cupcake liner to the center of the circle. Try to glue the cupcake liner down as flat as possible so that it’s easiest to draw on.

Draw and color in winter trees with white paint pen.

Next, use a white paint pen to draw some simple, snowy covered winter trees. Or, design your snow globe however you’d like.

Color in large areas like ground under tree with white chalk marker.

We also used a white chalk marker to fill in the ground under the trees.

Add dots with the white paint all around the snow globe for snow.

Finally, because it’s not a snow globe without snow, use the white paint pen to create dots of snow all around the winter snow globe. Or, use the white chalk marker to create larger dots of snow.

Cupcake Liner Snow Globe Craft

You could easily turn these snow globes into Christmas ornaments by added a string on the back, too.

Materials

  • Snow Globe Template
  • Cupcake liners - colors of choice
  • Black cardstock
  • White paint pen and/or paint marker
  • Scissors
