Cute Circle Shark Craft
Is it strange that I find sharks so cute? I’m sure I wouldn’t if I were face to face with one in the ocean, I mean, for the little time that would be. But there are some really cute shark crafts for kids to make while learning about these mighty creatures, and this Cute Circle Shark Craft tops the list.
Just in time for shark week, our Cute Circle Shark Craft are everything you know about sharks, but in really fun form. Sharp teeth, big mouth, menacing dorsal fin. You could practically hear the Jaws theme. But look at these guys! They’re really cute!
The base to our Cute Circle Shark Craft are wood circles. This makes a really sturdy craft base and you could then maybe add a magnet on the back to decorate your fridge with fun sharks for shark week. But, if you don’t have wood circles around or don’t want to head to the craft store, a sturdy piece of cardboard cut in a circle shape should work, too. Then, you’ll need just need cardstock, a gluestick, and scissors.

Supplies needed:
- cardstock – blue, white, red, and black
- gluestick
- wood circles
- scissors
- paper cutter (optional)
- 1.5″ circle paper punch and 2″ circle paper punch (optional)
First, glue the wooden circles onto blue colored cardstock. Cut the excess paper off.
Glue a half circle of white onto the blue colored cardstock, leaving about an inch and a half from the top of the wooden circle.
Cut a black half circle out of cardstock. Also, cut a half circle out of red cardstock that’s slightly smaller than the black one. Glue them together and then glue them onto the white colored cardstock. Scissors work fine for this, and are great practice for kids, but a paper cutter just makes the precise cuts easier.
Cut teeth from white cardstock and glue onto the red half circle.
Either use the paper punch or cut 2 larger white circles from cardstock and 2 smaller black circles. Glue the eyes together and then glue the eyes onto the top of the wood circles.
Finally, cut out a pointy triangle and 2 fins and glue onto the back of the wood circles.
