Upon asking how many kids I have, I will usually say 4. As I tend to count the dog, too. He’s like another sibling, if a bit hairier. And sometimes just as loud, excited, and opinionated. Not one to sit around and sleep all day, he makes his presence known.
Closing in on the end of my pregnancy now, though, we’re all getting ready to welcome a new little brother. There’s already been a lot of cleaning, nesting, organizing, and changes to make room for our 5th. Because, of course, our home isn’t a home without the dog.
There is no sibling rivalry on Snoop’s part, however. Of all of us, he’s most likely to take the changes to come in stride. He loves his family equally and unconditionally. That’s the great thing about dogs. Though he’ll like you just a little more if you give him bones. Better yet when they’re Milk-Bone Farmer’s Medley treats.
Available at Walmart in the pet aisle, we picked up a bag of Milk-Bone Farmer’s Medley Whole Grain Recipe with Beef Biscuits for our Snoop. Made with high quality ingredients, like real beef sourced in the USA, carrots, and oats, these biscuits are oven baked with no fillers, corn, artificial preservatives or flavors. It’s a treat we can feel good about it. Only the best! Be sure to find out how you can earn $2 with Ibotta, too!
Milk-Bone Farmer’s Medley also comes in Whole Grain Recipe with Chicken Biscuits as well as Grain Free with Lamb & Spring Vegetables Biscuits and Grain Free with Turkey & Pumpkin Biscuits flavors. Snoop says we should have gotten a bag of each. Just like the other kids, he has no sense of moderation.
He’s a good boy, though, and he deserves it. For keeping an eye on everyone. For ensuring we’re safe with his ferocious barks from any squirrels that pass by. For making us happy. Even for getting us up and going out for walks when we may not want to.
And he gets us out for a lot of walks. Luckily, we have a park just a few blocks from our house that we like to go to. To take our treats along, as well, we made this easy, no sew Dog Treat DIY Denim Pocket Pouch. With a simple pup stencil or monogram.
This easy, no sew Dog Treat DIY Denim Pocket Pouch is a great way to repurpose a favorite pair of old jeans. You’ll also need clear nail polish to ease fraying, medium twine to cinch closed, a stencil, and fabric paint. The kids can help with most of this, but you’ll also need something sharp to poke holes into the fabric and that’s a job for an adult. Then fill with dog treats! Snoop says yes, please with more Milk-Bone Farmer’s Medley Whole Grain Recipe with Beef Biscuits!
DIY Denim Pocket Pouch
Supplies needed:
- old jean pocket
- cord/twine
- clear nail polish
- dog stencil
- fabric paint
- scissors
- knife/scissor point/sharp point to poke holes
First, cut the pocket out of an old pair of jeans. Make sure you keep both sides of the pocket intact, both the pocket itself and the seat of the pants. Apply clear nail polish around the edges to ease fraying. Let dry.
Apply a stencil and paint with fabric paint or markers.
Poke holes around the top of the pocket, about an inch apart and an inch from the top. Make the holes larger by poking through with a sharpened pencil, if needed. Weave twine through holes. Leave enough ends of twine to tie when cinched closed.
We used our DIY Denim Pocket Pouch for dog treats, as you can easily just throw them in the wash to get rid of any crumbs. With a different kind of stencil they’d make a fun little girl’s coin purse, too, or a place to store a rock collection or any small collectible.
