Duplo Block July 4th Star Stamps
Show your patriotic pride with red, white, and blue Duplo Block July 4th Star Stamps art and use up some of those old large blocks in the process!
With every kid, we seemed to get another set of Duplo blocks. Needless to say, at one point we had a lot of Duplo blocks. So many, that even after years of finding them, giving some away and throwing away some as well, there are still a bunch hanging around. They make a great base for these Duplo Block July 4th Star Stamps, though.
These foam stars have a sticky side, but for extra hold you’ll want to use hot glue or super glue. I went with super glue just so I didn’t have to bring out my hot glue gun. Attach the stars to the top of the block and you have your stamp. Then, fill a piece of paper with patriotic stars.
We also drew star and heart shapes in pencil on the paper and the kids stamped along the lines in red, white, and blue colors. Either way, it’s a great 4th of July craft!
July 4th Duplo Block Star Stamps
Supplies needed:
- single Duplo blocks
- large foam stars
- super glue
- red, white, blue paint
- cardstock or construction paper
- pencil
- water, a few drops (optional)
Attach a foam star to the top of a Duplo block with a few drops of super glue. Let sit until dry, but it should set almost immediately.
Gather your paint. We added just a few drops of water to the blue and red, which helped the paint not glob up as much, but you also want to make sure there are no drips. Stamp freehand or draw shapes on the paper and stamp along the lines. We drew a star and my daughter wanted a heart. A simple rectangle for a flag would be great for Independence Day, and Memorial Day, too!
