Easy Paper Ant Craft
With not much more than a few circles, this Easy Paper Ant Craft is exactly as the name suggests. Really easy, especially with the Free Printable Ant Template we’ve included. Yet, who knew ants could be this cute?
A lot of our craft ideas comes from what my littlest one is into these days. We created a few fun bear crafts when he was into bears, I tried to do some elephant crafts when he liked elephants, we came up with an excavator craft when he couldn’t get enough of construction equipment, and now, he’s into ants. That’s the inspiration behind this Easy Paper Ant Craft.
For our Paper Ant Craft you will need the Paper Ant Template, scissors, glue, and cardstock or construction paper in a variety of colors. I prefer the weight of cardstock for most of our crafts, but construction paper would work here, as well.

Select a color of cardstock or paper for the ant and trace the circles from the provided template on the selected paper. The template includes 2 small circles and 1 big circle. The big circle is the head of the paper ant. Use a pencil to trace the circles on the paper.
Use scissors to cut out the traced circles.
Trace and cut out the strips for the legs, antennae, and the eyes for your paper ant. Though we’ve included eyes in the template, you could also use small googly eyes.
Attach the 3 circle cutouts in a row by slightly overlapping each circle with each other. Attach the big circle on a side and keeping the 2 small circles on the other side.
Glue the tiny paper strips along along the 2 back, smaller circles. One leg in the back, one in front, alternating. Until have 6 legs total
Stick the antennas and the eyes of the paper ant. Use a black sharpie or pen to draw a smiley face.
Cut out a green square paper and fold it into half. Attach the paper ant on either half folded sides, with the legs facing towards the outer edge of the square.
