Easy Paper Twirl Snake Craft
- Construction paper – red, variety of colors
- Googly eyes, small
Begin by cutting a strip from a sheet of colorful.
You’ll want to cut a strip the length of the sheet of paper. Ours were about 1.5” in width.
Now cut one end to a point. Do the same with the other end, but leave it with a flat edge tip instead of a point.
Decorate the strip with markers however you’d like your snake.
Adhere small googly eyes to the flat edge end.
Cut a V tongue shape from the red paper.
Glue the tongue to the bottom of the flat edge.
Now wrap the snake around a pen or pencil. We used a sharpie. The smaller the item used, the tighter the roll and tighter the twirl.
Then unwrap and voila! Your snake is twirly and ready to slither!
This is a great craft if you happen to be doing a lesson plan on reptiles or even spring creatures! We have lots more fun spring crafts for kids at Our Kid Things, too!
