We all love Kraft pourable dressings on delicious salad recipes, but they can be used for so much more than that. Just ask Jedi, my 10 year old son, and he’ll tell you that Kraft Ranch is great on baked potatoes, vegetables, cheeseburgers, as well as a dip for chicken and french fries. The boy loves his Ranch. Zesty Italian, too.
He’s not alone, though. He gets that love from yours truly. I’ve always had to have a bottle of Ranch on hand, and Italian has been a close runner-up on salads and marinades. Thus, when I went by my local Walmart for a weekly shopping run and saw a display in the middle of the produce section of nothing but Kraft Classic Ranch and Kraft Zesty Italian, it was like a call to action. Because #FoodDeservesDelicious. How could I decline? Especially when the new Kraft Pourables have been reinvented with a new, better taste!
Like a light bulb turning on, inspiration struck in that moment in the form of Chicken Ranch Nachos. So while I was there, I also picked up a tomato and olives. Then, a few aisles down, a bag of Tostitos. Don’t forget the cheese!
Drenched in Classic Ranch, which is now creamier, with more buttermilk and savory herbs, with the chicken marinated in Kraft Zesty Italian, these Chicken Ranch Nachos make a delicious and easy lunch, better than any hot dogs or peanut butter sandwich. They’d also make a great appetizer or snack to share among family or friends. Marinate the chicken for a few hours, cook the chicken, shred it up, layer ingredients in an oven-safe dish, top with Ranch pourables, bake until the cheese is melty (that’s so a word) and dig in.
Let the dish cool a bit and set it on the table for everyone to share. We’re all friends here, right? Or you can serve individually if you’re just not that close.
