What do you get when you put together egg carton sections, orange paint, a black marker, and green pipe cleaners? Egg Carton Pumpkin Faces, of course! And it’s so much easier than carving an actual pumpkin.
These Egg Carton Pumpkin Faces are such a great and simple way for kids to get creative for Halloween. Scary or silly, they can draw the faces on their egg carton pumpkins any way they like, making them just as unique as they are.
Along with an egg carton, orange paint, green pipe cleaner, and black marker, you’ll also need a toothpick to make two tiny holes on the top of the egg carton section for the stem. Then, with a few quick steps, you have Egg Carton Pumpkin Faces!
Egg Carton Pumpkin Faces
- egg carton
- orange acrylic paint
- green pipe cleaners
- black marker
First, cut out the egg carton sections.
Then, paint orange. We used a foam egg carton and it needed a couple of coats. Let dry completely.
Once dry, poke two small holes on the top of the egg carton. Cut a pipe cleaner in thirds and bend in half, then slide each end through a hole. Twist the ends to secure.
Now it’s time to draw a face on your egg carton pumpkins. So fun! Be sure to check out more Halloween craft and recipe ideas at Our Kid Things!
