Now, if you’ve noticed lately, we’ve been really into leaf crafts. In fact, I kinda have little pieces of leaves all over my house and in every pocket. But the fun of it all is so well worth it!

Fall Leaf Halloween Crafts

Our Fall Leaf Halloween Bat Craft and Fall Leaf Ghost Craft are the easiest of the bunch and, obviously, so perfect for the spooky season. Plus, they just go so well together, that you can’t really make one without the other. Well, you can. But why would you want to?

Halloween Fall Leaf Craft Supplies Needed

  • Fall leaves
  • Acrylic paint – black, white
  • Markers/paint pens – black, white, silver
  • Wooden clothespins

Halloween Leaf Crafts Step by Step Directions

Begin by heading outside and gathering a bunch of fall leaves. Fresh leaves work best, you don’t really want them crunchy. You also want leaves that are small-medium for the bats, just so the wings don’t overtake the clothespins.

Paint leaves black and white.

Now, paint some of the leaves black for the bats. You will need two leaves for each bat. Also, paint the clothespins black, too. Paint more of the leaves white for the ghosts.

Let paint dry completely.

Let the paint dry completely.

Use a silver and black marker to make the eyes, use a white paint pen to draw a W for fangs.

When the paint is completely dry on both the leaves and clothespins, begin making faces. We’re going to start with the bat. Use a silver marker, we used a metallic marker, to make two dots for the eyes. Add a black dot in the center. Finish the bat’s face by using a white paint pen to draw a W for the fangs.

Position leaves side by side.

Take two of the leaves, roughly the same size, paired up at the stem. You can use tape on the back of the leaves to secure together at this stage to make it easier.

Clasp leaves in clothespin.

Clasp the leaves in the clothespin to complete the bat.

Use a black marker to make eyes and mouth for ghosts.

Then, for the fall leaf ghost craft, simply use a black marker to draw two circles for the eyes and a circle mouth, too.

Fall leaf ghosts.

Complete a face for all the ghosts. And that is such a cute way to incorporate fall in the fun of Halloween, if you ask me. You really should ask me.
