Tape Craft Stick Pumpkin Monsters
There’s still some summer left, and we intend to to fully enjoy it, but I’m already beginning to look forward to fall. It’s my favorite season and Halloween is my favorite holiday. It’s just so much fun, with an excuse to dress up and candy to pass out. Plus, I really like decorating and crafting for it. Like these Fashion Tape Craft Stick Pumpkin Monsters! How cute are they?
You can use any brand of fashion tape. In fact, the image says Washi Tape Craft Stick Pumpkin Monsters because I know that’s a brand most people recognize, but the tape I used came from a dollar bin at my local grocery store. You simply need an orange and green design as well as a red for the mouth.
But first, gather 8 sticks and glue 7 together. I like to use a sheet of scrap construction paper fit to size to glue the craft sticks to. Then glue the 8th stick in the middle on back, sticking up slightly for the pumpkin’s stem.

Supplies needed:
- fashion tape in an orange, green, and red design
- 8 craft sticks
- scrap square of construction paper
- googly eyes
- glue
- scissors
First, line up 7 of your craft sticks and cut a square of scrap paper to size. Apply glue and adhere, making sure you glue the edges well.
Glue the 8th craft stick in the back in middle of the 7 craft sticks, leaning it slightly for the stem. Make sure it’s all holding together well, then flip over.
Begin applying orange fashion tape strips in slightly diagonal directions until the front is fully or mostly covered. Take a piece of the green tape and apply to the stem. You may need to cut to size. Then take 2 pieces of red tape and make an X’d mouth for your Washi Tape Craft Stick Pumpkin Monsters.
Add googly eyes and your monsters are ready to scare up some fun fright this Halloween! I’m so ready for this time of year! Be sure to check out all the other Halloween craft and recipe ideas at Kid Things!
I like this idea. I haven’t played much with the washi tape but my dollar store has a few and this would be a great Fall craft. Thank you.
