Father’s Day Handyman Card
Supplies needed:
- Handyman Card Template
- Cardstock – brown, red, silver, yellow, blue, grey, etc.
- Black marker
- Scissors
- Glue stick
Begin by printing the card template. Cut out all the pieces. There are a few pieces with intricate cuts that might be better for an older child to help with or mom.
Trace those pieces on the cardstock colors of choice. The hammer, wrench, and shank of the screwdriver are on silver cardstock. We then used colors for the handle of the screwdriver, another color for the ruler, and the red heart. You will also need the 3×5 card in the pocket color of choice.
Add details to the hammer and screwdriver handle pieces with a black marker. See image. Also make lines on the ruler and numbers.
Glue the handle to the shank of the screwdriver.
Now fold a sheet of brown cardstock in half.
Glue just the sides and bottom edges of the pocket piece towards the bottom of the card. Let the glue set.
Draw seam lines around the pocket with the black marker.
Also write the word dad, daddy, pops. Or grandpa, if making for grandpa. Whatever you may call him.
Then fill the pocket with the heart.
And tools.
Write your Happy Father’s Day message inside. You could also use the heart for the Father’s Day message instead, which would be cute, too.
We love how dad can take out the tools from the card and put them back in the tool belt pocket, just like he can in real life. This is such a fun card!
