Foam Egg Bunny House Craft
This post and Foam Egg Bunny House Craft is sponsored by Consumer Crafts. All opinions and ideas are my own.
I love finding fun new items to craft with, especially when they’re at a place that’s so easy to order from. Everything we’re using in this absolutely adorable Foam Egg Bunny House Craft was bought at Consumer Crafts, from darling little foam sticker bunnies to craft sticks. They have everything needed for an afternoon of spring crafting with the kids!
When I came across these little foam bunny and chick stickers in a pack of Foamies® Easter Stickers, I knew they needed a home. Both with me, and we had to make our Foam Egg Bunny House Craft for them to hop around in.
There’s not just bunnies and chicks in the pack of Foamies Easter Stickers, though. 80 pieces in all, there’s also flowers and sparkly eggs, which are perfect to decorate our Foam Egg Bunny House Craft.
Then, we found even more adorable foam stickers at ConsumerCrafts.com. We ordered a pack Foamies® Flowers Stickers which comes with 80 stickers in perfectly spring colors of pink, yellow, orange, and purple in multiple flower shapes. I figured a bunny couldn’t have enough enough flowers decorating their space in our Foam Egg Bunny House Craft.
Our Foam Egg Bunny House Craft is interactive, too! We use craft sticks and the darling bunnies and chicks from the Foamies Easter Stickers pack to add some life to our land!
What I really love about this craft, aside from just about everything, is that it’s mostly sticker based. So easy for even the tiniest of fingers. Although to make our Foam Egg Bunny House Craft especially easy to recreate with your own littles, I’ve included a Free Bunny House Template, too. This template includes main bunny house egg shape, grass shape, and windows.
The rest of the supplies include foam sheets. We ordered packs of both Foamies® 9 x 12 Foam Sheets – Assorted Bright Colors for the Easter egg colors like pink and purple, as well as Foamies® 9 x 12 Foam Sheets – Assorted Basic Colors which you’ll need for white and green, too. You’ll also need scissors and a strong glue stick. All items that you can easily find through Consumer Crafts!
Foam Egg Bunny House Craft
Supplies needed:
- Free Bunny House Template
- Foamies® Easter Stickers
- Foamies® Flowers Stickers
- Foamies® 9 x 12 Foam Sheets – Assorted Bright Colors
- Foamies® 9 x 12 Foam Sheets – Assorted Basic Colors
- Craft sticks
- Pencil
- Scissors
- Strong glue stick
Begin by printing the bunny house template. Cut out the pieces.
Gather your foam sheets. Lightly trace the egg shape on your choice of foam egg color. Trace the grass on the green sheet. Trace the window shape twice on the white foam sheet. Cut all out. You will also need to cut a larger rectangle from another color foam sheet for the door and a thinner rectangle from yet another color for the chimney. It’s a bunny house, it’s supposed to be colorful!
Apply a generous amount of glue and adhere all pieces in place. For the grass piece, apply glue to only the sides of the piece. When you adhere in place the middle should be open for the bunny to bounce around in.
Now, decorate your bunny house! Flowers, eggs, whatever and wherever you like them. We cut a few of the bunnies and chicks to stick in the windows like they’re peeking out to say hello.
Also, the flowers in the Foamies® Easter Stickers come with little circles for the centers of the flower. We used a few of those colorful circles as the doorknobs.
Use some of the larger flowers from the Foamies® Flowers Stickers to stick along the edges of the grass piece to further secure in place.
Then, leave the paper back on a bunny. Add glue and stick to the top of a craft stick.
Now slide through the grass opening and hop around! So cute!
I hope you have as much fun with making your bunnies a house as we did! It’s such a great way to spend a spring afternoon together. Be sure to check out ConsumerCrafts.com for more inspiration and check out all of our Easter craft ideas at Our Kid Things!
