From Floors to Ceilings: Finding Inspiration
This is a sponsored post.
I have taken a substantial interest in interior design lately. In fact, most of the time when I have a second to spare, I can be found watching design shows or browsing for decorating ideas on Pinterest. It’s kind of taken over my life as of late.
Sure, I still love crafting, but I’m a little obsessed with how just a few simple changes can completely change a room.
It’s also fun when crafting and interior design come together. I’ve made, with my own two little hands and a bit of creativity, some fun things for our home that probably normally would have cost way more than essentially free. Like, for instance, an ottoman tray from the top of a small desk. Painted white with added handles, it’s the perfect size and it only cost me about $5 for the hardware.
These are easy things to accomplish. But to make a big splash, you may want to think on a grander scale. From ceilings to the floor beneath your feet, there are so many options that can completely change a room.
Now, let’s talk about floors. If you’re looking for commercial flooring, you should definitely look into all the options that Mannington has to offer. It’s amazing how many styles of LVT there are, for every need and design you can imagine.
Flooring these days comes in any style and design you can think of. Plus, the material is so durable. So not only does it hold up, as commercial flooring should, but it looks great while doing so, too. Because who wants to walk on boring floors?
People stage their home in a certain way for many reasons. Whether it’s for entertaining, for comfort, maybe to show off their treasures. But however your home is decorated, what’s true is that it holds a piece of you. You and your heart show through in the walls of where you live. And that’s an incredible, beautiful thing.
Home. A house is a home because that’s how we make it. Where the heart is? Definitely.
“A house is made of brick and mortar, but a home is made by the people who live there.” – M.K. Soni.
Another cost-effective tip is that even if you don’t have a lot to spend, you can still make a great change just by shopping at thrift stores. I’ve found some unbelievable deals at thrift stores. The finds are part of what truly makes our home unique.

Crafting takes many shapes and forms. It’s all about creativity. And decorating is just another outlet to be creative. Designing a retail space or designing a living room, there are always ideas that hold truth. We want durability, we want comfort, and we need style. Everything else is our own personal style and flair.
But really, what it all comes down to, is that there is no wrong or right. And I think that’s what I love most about it.
