Ghost Paper Plate Lacing Craft
We’re still in the Halloween spirit and we’re taking inspiration from Halloween crafts from the past for this Ghost Paper Plate Lacing Craft!
The Halloween craft from the past specifically that we were thinking of while crafting our Ghost Paper Plate Lacing Craft is our Mummy Paper Plate Lacing Craft! It’s a reader’s favorite around here during the Halloween season and with good reason, it’s one of our own favorites, as well. So fun and so easy! Now our ghost is, too!
For our Ghost Paper Plate Lacing Craft you will need just a few supplies. First, white yarn, a sturdy paper plate, and a single hole punch. Other than that, black construction paper, scissors, school glue, and clear tape are all that’s needed.

Supplies needed:
- Paper plate
- White yarn
- Hole punch
- Black construction paper
- Scissors
- School glue
- Clear tape
Cut your basic ghost shape out of a paper plate, leaving as much of the raised part of the plate as possible.
This consists of cutting straighter sides, leaving a rounded top, and a few wavy lines on bottom.
Begin punching holes around the paper plate ghost shape.
Take a long strand of yarn and begin lacing in and out of the holes at random. Tape the end of the yarn, if needed, to keep from fraying.
Once finished with the strand, tape to secure in back of the plate.
Cut two circles and one oval from the black construction paper. Glue in place on top of the yarn for the ghost’s eyes and mouth.
Boo! I hope you enjoy making your ghosts from our Ghost Paper Plate Lacing Craft and have a Happy Halloween! Be sure to find more Halloween crafts and spooky fun ideas at Our Kid Things! And check out more of our paper plate crafts, too!
