Glitter Clothespin Angels Craft
I am fascinated by angels. Their delicate wings and serene faces. So it only makes sense that I would love angel crafts. They have always been some of our favorites to create around the holidays. And these Glitter Clothespin Angels are a sparkly and beautiful addition, perfect for this time of year.
We’ve done a Bottle Cap Angels Craft before, and they remain a favorite holiday craft keepsake. Now, these Glitter Clothespin Angels are another the kids love to put together. Put a magnet on the back and they can be used to hold Christmas cards. Or, tie on an ornament holder to add to the Christmas tree.
For our Glitter Clothespin Angels, you will first wood clothespins. Also, 6 inch paper doilies for the wings. Then, silver and gold glitter, white and yellow pipe cleaners, white or cream paper, glue, and a black marker.
Glitter Clothespin Angels
Supplies needed:
- wood clothespins
- paper doilies, about 6 in.
- glitter, silver and gold
- glue
- pipe cleaners, white and yellow
- piece of white or cream paper
- black marker
For 2 angels, start by spreading a little glue on one side of each clothespin and sprinkle silver glitter on one and gold glitter on the other.
Cut 2 small circles out and draw 2 little closed eyes on them and a little oval mouth to look like they are singing. Glue each face on a clothespin at the end where they open at.
Bunch each doily together in the middle and wrap the end of a pipe cleaner around it tightly. Spread out each side so you have wings on each side of the pipe cleaner. Wrap the rest of the pipe cleaner into a circle above the doily wings to look like a halo. Cut off any excess.
Clip each doily into the clothespins so the wings are even on either side of the glitter body.
Set these around the house, attach a magnet, or add an ornament hanger and put on the Christmas tree. Such a beautiful holiday angel craft! Be sure to find more fun Christmas craft and recipe ideas at Our Kid Things!
