Halloween Spoon Bats Craft
Are you ready to make our very friendly and not really spooky Halloween Spoon Bats Craft?
Kids will have a lot of fun making this Halloween Spoon Bats Craft. Requiring only some plastic spoons, black paint, paper, and googly eyes, they’re also easy and really kind of cute.
You could hang these bats upside down by wrapping yarn or twine around the base of the spoons, their “feetâ€, for a ghoulishly good Halloween decoration. It would be really neat to have a room full of these bats, or see them hang in a line like garland across a mantle. Then again, your kids could just pretend they’re flying and have fun with them, too!
Halloween Spoon Bats Craft
Supplies needed:
- plastic spoons
- black paint
- googly eyes
- black and yellow construction paper
- scissors
- glue
Paint your plastic spoons black. Let dry completely.
Fold a sheet of black construction paper in half then cut two almost half circles so both sides are even for the wings. Glue the middle of the wings to the back of the spoon.
Cut two small triangles of black construction paper and glue to the top of the back of the spoon for the bat’s ears. Cut a piece of yellow construction paper with two small triangles for the fangs and glue to the spoon. Glue on googly eyes.
Bats like to hang around with friends, though, so be sure to make more than one! Be sure to check out all of our fun Halloween ideas at Our Kid Things, from tricks to treats!
Those are so cute! My youngest daughter was asking me over the weekend if she could make some Halloween decorations for her room. I will have to make some of your spoon bats with her this weekend.
