Handprint Fall Leaf Wreath Craft
We are having a lot of fun making fall leaves with handprints. Our latest creation is this super fun and simple Fall Handprint Leaf Paper Plate Wreath Craft. I love it so much, I have ours hanging up front and center in our home.

If you saw our Handprint Leaf Fall Tree Craft, then you’ll see that we cut our handprints from fall colored cardstock then drew leaf veins with metallic markers. This craft is the same concept, only we made a really pretty wreath with the handprint leaves. I can see this being a cute fall classroom craft, with all the kids’ handprints making up the wreath.

Paper Plate Fall Handprint Leaf Craft
For our handprint fall leaf wreath craft you will need cardstock in fall colors. Yellows, oranges, and red. You’ll also need a paper plate, scissors, metallic markers, twine, and a glue stick.

Fall Handprint Wreath Craft Supplies Needed
- Paper plate
- Cardstock – yellows, oranges, red
- Metallic markers
- Twine
- Scissors
- Glue stick
Handprint Fall Wreath Craft Step by Step Directions
Begin by gathering fall colors of cardstock. We used 5 different colors. Two different shades of yellow, two different shades of orange, and red.

Trace handprints on the cardstock.

Cut out all the handprints. We needed 10 total handprints for our wreath, so two sets of the 5 handprints. It’s a lot of cutting, but good practice.

Use metallic markers to draw veins like a leaf across the handprints. If you don’t have metallic markers, you can try regular markers or a black sharpie would work, too.

Now, have an adult carefully cut the center from a paper plate.

Glue the handprints around the paper plate until the plate is covered and makes a wreath.

Finish the wreath by gluing a loop of twine to the back of the wreath so that it’s ready to hang and decorate for fall.
