Mother’s Day Flower Craft Step by Step Directions

Begin by choosing your cardstock colors. You will need a background cardstock, as well as the colors for the flowers. You will also need to gather a skin tone cardstock, too.

Trace handprints.

Now, trace your handprint on the cardstock colors you’ve chosen for the flowers. You will need at least 3 flowers. You can make as many as you want, but we didn’t want to crowd the page.

Cut out handprints.

Cut out all the handprints. We cut out 6 total handprints, because we weren’t sure what colors of flowers we wanted. This just made it easier to make another flower bouquet craft after this one.

Trace and cut two more handprints in skin tone cardstock.

Also, trace and cut out two skin tone handprints.

Glue handprint flowers.

Then, glue the flower handprint towards the top of the background sheet of cardstock. We chose a very light silver color for our background to make sure the flowers popped.

Cut and glue leaves to flowers.
Glue stems in place.

Next, after the flowers are glued in place, cut some stems and simple leaves out of green cardstock. Glue those in place, with the stems coming together at the bottom of the page.

Glue skin toned handprints holding flowers.

Lastly, glue the skin tone handprints in place so that they appear to be holding onto the flower stems. At this point, you can also add a few more leaves along the stems.
