Handprint Gnome Acorn Craft
Sometimes, you just need a purely fun, amusing kind of craft and that’s what we have with our fall Handprint Gnome Acorn Craft. They’re sweet, they’re playful, a touch quirky, and just an all around super fun fall craft for kids!
I can’t get over the little acorn hats on these handprint fall gnomes. Be sure to grab the Free Printable Acorn Template to make building the hat and circle nose easier. We then decorated ours really simply with strips of washi tape. So cute, and a great way to make a fun fall craft.
Fall Gnome Handprint Acorn Craft
To make our handprint fall gnomes you will first need our acorn template.
You’ll also need tan and brown cardstock, washi tape in assorted fall colors and designs, small googly eyes, scissors, and a glue stick.
Handprint Fall Gnome Craft Supplies Needed
- Acorn Template
- Cardstock – tan, brown
- Washi tape – assorted fall colors
- Googly eyes, small
- Scissors
- Glue stick
Handprint Acorn Gnome Craft Step by Step Directions
Begin by choosing two different shades of brown cardstock, a lighter shade and one darker.
Trace a handprint on the lighter, or tan, shade.
Cut out the handprint.
Then, print and cut out the template pieces. Trace all the pieces on a sheet of darker brown cardstock and cut out.
Now, gather different colors, designs, and sizes of washi tape. If you don’t have washi tape, you could always decorate your acorn hats with stickers, markers, etc. Begin laying down strips of washi tape.
Trim off any excess washi tape.
Next, glue the stem to the top of the hat. And glue the circle nose in place on the handprint.
Glue the hat to the handprint, covering part of the nose.
Finally, add small, beady googly eyes to complete your playfully sweet fall handprint gnome craft.
