Handprint Grinch Paper Plate Craft
Because Christmas isn’t Christmas without a grinch or two, we’re sharing this adorable Handprint Grinch Paper Plate Craft! It’s so cute, though, even the smallest of hearts might grow a few sizes while making it.

This handprint Grinch craft is so easy to make, with not much more than a green handprint and paper plate. Since we want to make grinch crafts, not actually be a grinch, we’ve included a Free Printable Grinch Template for the few extra pieces just to make it as easy peasy as possible.

What’s your favorite version of The Grinch? There’s the original or the Jim Carrey version. I would have to say you can’t go wrong with the original, but the Jim Carrey Grinch definitely has a time and place, too. Either way, The Grinch is a must-see during the holidays, and now this paper plate grinch is a must make, too.
Christmas Grinch Handprint Paper Plate Craft
For our Christmas Grinch craft, you will first want to print our grinch template. Then, you’ll need paper plates, green acrylic paint, cardstock in black, yellow, and green, a black sharpie, scissors, and a glue stick, as well.

Also, while the sizes are on the template, you can use a 1.5” circle paper punch and a ⅝” circle paper punch for the eye shapes, instead.
Handprint Grinch Craft Supplies Needed
- Grinch Template
- Paper plates
- Green acrylic paint
- Cardstock – green, yellow, black
- Black sharpie
- Scissors
- Glue stick
- Paper punches (optional) – 1.5” and ⅝”
Paper Plate Grinch Craft Step by Step Directions
Begin by painting a paper plate with green acrylic paint.

Let the paint dry completely.

While the paint is drying, trace a handprint on green cardstock.

Cut out the handprint.

Also, print the template and cut out the pieces. Trace the eyebrows on black cardstock and cut them out. Either use the circles from the template or paper punches to form larger yellow circles and two small black circles.

Now, when the paper plate is completely dry, glue the yellow circles in place for eyes.

Glue the eyebrows over about half the yellow circles. Make sure the eyebrow point is pointing down for an evil-ish look.

Glue the two small black circles in the yellow circles.

Next, use a black sharpie to draw a nose and grinchy mouth. Refer to the photo above for inspiration.

Finally, glue the handprint to the top of the paper plate to complete this darling grinch craft. Glue the handprint at an angle so it looks like a tuft of frazzled hair.
