Everyone do the back to school dance! It’s almost time. We’ve had a great summer with a lot of lazy days lounging around, but I have to say that I’m ready to get back to a routine and back on schedule. I know my kids have missed their friends and even learning something new.
The below picture is from their first day back last year.
I’m always a bit of a schedule nut, but during summer everything is lax so that’s one area we need to work on in these last few weeks before school. We also need to purchase all their supplies, sort and label accordingly, as well as secure what we can with Master Lock.
According to a survey conducted by Survey Monkey in May 2014, nearly half of North American parents admitted that their child has had an item stolen from them at school, with the most valuable being their cell phone. While my kids have never had anything stolen from them yet, I know that there’s a first time for everything. And now that Jedi is soon to turn 11 years of age, I would like him to keep a cell phone on him at all times. As such, it’s a great idea to be on top of keeping things secure.
Master Lock, the world’s largest manufacturer of padlocks and related security products, has a variety of ways to keep this school year safe. We were recently sent a 1500eDBX dialSpeed Combination Padlock as well as a 5900D SafeSpace Portable Safe. The dialSpeed Padlock will make securing a locker a breeze, with an electronic directional interface that lights up, but I was especially excited for the SafeSpace. Perfect for securing cell phones, credit cards, gaming devices, or other small valuables, all behind a combination that’s easy to set, I’ve been looking at getting one of these for awhile. If not used at school, this will definitely be useful here at home.
