To make our Father’s Day Heart Dad Fingerprint Craft you will first need our Dad Template. This is the base of the craft. It’s made transparent so you can print on any color cardstock, but we used silver cardstock. Then, pick some acrylic paints, white paper, and scissors.
Heart Dad Fingerprint Craft
Supplies needed:
- Dad Template
- Acrylic paint – blues, yellow, white, red, etc.
- Silver cardstock
- White paper
- Scissors
Begin by printing out the Dad Template.
Now cut out a large heart from a full sheet of white paper. It should mostly fill the page, though you will need room around the heart for fingerprints.
Position the heart centered over the word DAD. I used where the heart was folded and the A of DAD to help center. Try not to move the heart from this point, or apply masking tape along the edges to help stay in place.
Gather your paint and pour some in a tray or paper plate. Dip the tip of your finger in a color and begin forming fingerprints along the heart. Make sure the edges of the heart are completely covered.
Add more colors.
When finished, carefully peel the heart off the page.
