Heart Lion Craft
Supplies needed:
- Cardstock – yellow, orange, red, and brown
- Googly eyes, medium
- White marker
- Scissors
- Glue stick
First, begin by cutting a large circle out of the yellow paper.
The circle should be as big as you can get from a full sheet of yellow cardstock.
From this, make about 2” slits all around the circle.
Then, bend and curl those slits up at random.
Now cut a large heart out of the orange paper. It should fit in the center of the yellow circle, with plenty left over around the edges.
Cut a smaller heart out of the red paper for the nose.
Glue the nose to the larger heart according to the image above.
You will also need to cut two circles from the orange cardstock. And cut 2 smaller circles from the brown cardstock to fit inside the orange circles.
Glue the circles to both sides of the heart. You will also need to cut a larger circle from the brown cardstock and glue that behind the heart. Again, see image.
And glue the hearts to the center of the circle.
Next, adhere googly eyes.
Finally, draw lines with the white marker from the nose area.
And your heart lion is ready to roar into this Valentine’s Day! Be sure to check out more of our fun Valentine’s Day crafts at Our Kid Things!
