Heart Rainbow Craft
This Pot of Gold at the End of the Heart Rainbow Craft is not only a beautifully simple rainbow craft for St Patrick’s Day, but in my mind it symbolizes a deeper meaning of how heart and love are the greatest of riches. That’s why the rainbow hearts lead into the pot of gold. Or, you know, it’s just a nice simple rainbow craft.
We have a few more really fun rainbow crafts, too. Be sure to check out our Coffee Filter Watercolor Rainbows, Fork Painted Rainbows, Yarn Wrapped Cloud and Rainbow Craft, and our Pot O’ Gold at the End of the Rainbow Craft, the paper plate and pipe cleaner version.
For this Heart Rainbow Craft, you will need dessert size, small paper plates, black paint, cardstock in the colors of the rainbow, a 1” circle paper punch, a glue stick, and scissors.
Heart Rainbow Craft
Supplies needed:
- Small paper plate
- Black acrylic paint
- Cardstock – red, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple
- 1” circle paper punch
- Glue stick
- Scissors
Begin by cutting a flat edge on one side of the paper plate.
We cut just to the inside circle of the paper plate. But there’s really no rule on where to cut.
Paint the paper plate black. Let dry.
Cut a heart out of every color of the rainbow.
Once you get the desired size heart, use the one heart as a template to cut the other hearts so they’re all the same size.
Also punch a bunch of yellow circles for gold coins with the circle paper punch.
Begin gluing the yellow circles to the flat edge of the paper plate. Continue until it’s full and overflowing.
Now, glue the hearts coming out of the pot of gold. Glue one side of one heart to the side of the next color.
