A High Tech Game of Laser Tag with Laser X
I received the product to review, but all opinions are my own.
Having 2 boys we’ve been through a lot of toy guns in our day. And while they’re a good enough time, your typical toy gun is only as fun as your imagination allows. None of them really got them off the couch, excited to go outside and run around quite like a game of laser tag with Laser X does! Keep reading for your chance to win a set!
We were sent a complete Laser X laser tag system for 2 players to test out and review. Each set comes with a receiver vest that keeps track of hits, an interactive voice “coach” that gives players tips and tricks throughout the game, and blaster sound effects, as well as the guns themselves that have pinpoint accuracy up to 200ft. And advanced sensors in the Laser X blaster even know when players are blasting, being hit, running or hiding.
It’s everything you need for a fun game of high-tech laser tag either in teams, or every person for themselves! Aside from batteries, that is. Each set needs 3 AAA. But all sets work together, so you could have unlimited players.
I figured this set would be a lively way to get the kids outside running around after each other with a purpose. Because what better purpose is there to a brother than the chance to “blast†their sister, all in the name of fun? To his surprise, however, she was better at it than he expected and wound up winning a round or two herself.
“Reloading†the guns took a bit of practice, however. The maneuver seems simple enough, but the younger kids especially had a hard time doing it correctly. Other than that, there’s not much to it other than running, hiding, aiming, and blasting!
This would be a great game night idea, especially during the dark. And while the kids had a blast, it would also be really fun for adults, too.
Laser X can be played outside in bright sunlight or in the dark. It is available in sets that equip two players for $49.99 or that equip one player for $24.99 at Target.com and other retailers.
