Patriotic Homemade Chocolate Peanut Butter Cookies
Need a super simple yummy cookie to make for the 4th of July? These Patriotic Homemade Chocolate Peanut Butter Cookies are just the treat to make together. They’re a soft and flavorful cookies, with hidden bites of chocolate made red, white, and blue with a bag full of M&M candies!
To make our Patriotic Homemade Chocolate Peanut Butter Cookies, you’ll first need to cream together shortening and both sugars before adding in your eggs and blending well. Next, add in your peanut butter, soda, flour, and salt. Bring the kids in the kitchen and mix it up together!
Once your dough has formed add in 1/2 of your bag of red, white, and blue M&M’s and knead them into the dough evenly.
Roll dough into 1- 2 in. balls, the size depending on how large you want your cookies. Then, place them on a non greased, non stick cookie sheet and gently press them down with your palm. Finally, add 3 – 4 M&M’s to the top. Bake for about 8 minutes at 400 degrees, until edges are golden. Let cool, serve and enjoy!
