New year, new me! Or something to that effect. That never happens, actually. I start the year with so many great ideas and grand plans. This will be the year I exercise more! I eat more vegetables! I learn to love brussels sprouts! I’m motivated, I can do this!
This year, I honestly didn’t even try.
I do, however, need to drink more water and get my kids to drink more, too. It’s the best for our bodies, especially in these dry winter months when we’re more prone to get sick. As has been going around recently. And when you’re sick, your body can dehydrate quickly.
I’ve recently been introduced to a product called DripDrop that I was excited to try. Available in the baby aisle at CVS stores nationwide, DripDrop is an oral rehydration solution that prevents and treats mild to moderate dehydration. In Berry and Lemon flavors, it comes in convenient powder packets that you mix with water. So convenient, they easily fit in your pocket or a gym bag, if you’re so inclined.
DripDrop has 2-3 times the electrolytes and half the calories of sports drinks and hydrates 34% better than water alone. It contains a precise ratio of ingredients to activate fast hydration, so you recover quickly. And, possibly the best part, it’s safe for everyone over 1 year of age!
I picked up the Natural Lemon flavor at CVS. While it’s good on it’s own, and my kids are happy to drink it just like this, I wanted to try something a little different, too, and had a great combination idea. I wonder how it would taste in a Strawberry Limeade? A Strawberry Lemon-Limeade, if you will.
Strawberry Limeade
Using lots of fresh strawberries and limes, this Strawberry Limeade is so refreshing, and great to drink on it’s own or mix in a packet of DripDrop for maximum hydration. I’m sure the Berry flavor would taste amazing mixed in as well!
Simply slice your strawberries and mix them together with sugar. Mash it as much as you can, then let sit for at least a half an hour. If you have a blender, blend it all together. I don’t, though, so it’s really not necessary. Just pour the mixture through a strainer and keep mashing out as much juice as you can. Add in your lime juice and water, mix it, then add some fresh slices of strawberries and limes. Pour in a glass over ice, with a few garnishments for that full effect. Seriously, close your eyes and it could almost be summer.

That is a really great idea. I have been using DropDrop after my workouts.
Wow, I’ve never heard of DripDrop before! Sounds like it would be excellent after a strenuous workout.
What a great idea, and the flavors sound delicious. I’m going to pick some up to carry with me.
wow what a great idea. I’m so not into sport drinks but this would try.
Drip Drop sounds like a great product. It’s so convenient and easy to carry around
these look very valuable especially for the summer and when our family do a lot of sports.
My kids love when they get to add things to their water, so this might be perfect for them.
What a cool product! I love that it contains electrolytes and fewer calories.
I have not heard of this. The recipe looks great.
I’ve never tried Drip Drop but it sounds very interesting! My son is an athlete and I am going to take a closer look at this product. Your limeade recipe sounds so good.

I’ve never heard of Drip Drop but should look for it next time when I’m shopping. I’m pretty sure I’m not getting enough hydration so this would be perfect!
That strawberry limeade recipe sounds so good. I will have to try making that!
Not sure that I have ever heard of DripDrop before. I love the flavor variety, though.
I love the sound of the Strawberry Lemonade flavor. I might have to give this a try myself. 🙂
I love how convenient this is. I always try to keep some travel size drink packets in my purse.
I have been working on my water intake and these look like an easy way to add to my hydration goals.
This powder sounds great! I’m guilty of neglecting my hydration from time to time!
If something tastes good, people are more likely to try it.
I love this idea, because you don’t always want to carry a huge drink around, but the idea that you can add this to anything let’s you add it when you need it. I run and this kind of product sounds like a perfect addition to the running kit I keep in my car.
We use this stuff all the time. It is so tasty and helpful to get our water down!
DripDrop sounds like something I definitely need. Checking it out at the store today.
We use DripDrop here as well. Hubby uses it when he plays soccer and I used it for the kids when they had to flu. It was a great way to be sure they stayed hydrated and they loved the taste. Love your recipe too. YUMMY!
Such a great product to keep with you when you’re working out!
I have never heard of DripDrop before, so thanks for sharing. And your recipe looks delicious!
