Stay Hydrated with DripDrop and a Strawberry Limeade Recipe #DrinkDripDrop #DripDropHydrates #pmedia #ad

New year, new me! Or something to that effect. That never happens, actually. I start the year with so many great ideas and grand plans. This will be the year I exercise more! I eat more vegetables! I learn to love brussels sprouts! I’m motivated, I can do this!

This year, I honestly didn’t even try.

I do, however, need to drink more water and get my kids to drink more, too. It’s the best for our bodies, especially in these dry winter months when we’re more prone to get sick. As has been going around recently. And when you’re sick, your body can dehydrate quickly.

I’ve recently been introduced to a product called DripDrop that I was excited to try. Available in the baby aisle at CVS stores nationwide, DripDrop is an oral rehydration solution that prevents and treats mild to moderate dehydration. In Berry and Lemon flavors, it comes in convenient powder packets that you mix with water. So convenient, they easily fit in your pocket or a gym bag, if you’re so inclined.

DripDrop has 2-3 times the electrolytes and half the calories of sports drinks and hydrates 34% better than water alone. It contains a precise ratio of ingredients to activate fast hydration, so you recover quickly. And, possibly the best part, it’s safe for everyone over 1 year of age!

I picked up the Natural Lemon flavor at CVS. While it’s good on it’s own, and my kids are happy to drink it just like this, I wanted to try something a little different, too, and had a great combination idea. I wonder how it would taste in a Strawberry Limeade? A Strawberry Lemon-Limeade, if you will.

Strawberry Limeade

Using lots of fresh strawberries and limes, this Strawberry Limeade is so refreshing, and great to drink on it’s own or mix in a packet of DripDrop for maximum hydration. I’m sure the Berry flavor would taste amazing mixed in as well!

Simply slice your strawberries and mix them together with sugar. Mash it as much as you can, then let sit for at least a half an hour. If you have a blender, blend it all together. I don’t, though, so it’s really not necessary. Just pour the mixture through a strainer and keep mashing out as much juice as you can. Add in your lime juice and water, mix it, then add some fresh slices of strawberries and limes. Pour in a glass over ice, with a few garnishments for that full effect. Seriously, close your eyes and it could almost be summer.

An easy to make Strawberry Limeade recipe

  • 2 cups fresh strawberries, sliced
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1/3 cup lime juice
  • 4 cups water
  • Fresh strawberries and fresh limes pieces to add to pitcher as garnishment.

  1. Place your sliced strawberries into a bowl. Add sugar. Stir strawberries and sugar together, then mash. And mash some more. Let sit for about a half an hour.
  2. Pour mixture through a wire strainer. Continue mashing until you get as much juice out of the strawberries as you feel you can. You can also use a blender for this step.
  3. Add lime juice and water. Stir.
  4. Cut a few more strawberries and fresh limes into larger pieces to add to pitcher, as well as the rim of your glass.
  5. Add a few cubes of ice to your glass. Pour Strawberry Limeade and enjoy!

  4. I’ve never heard of Drip Drop but should look for it next time when I’m shopping. I’m pretty sure I’m not getting enough hydration so this would be perfect!

  5. I love this idea, because you don’t always want to carry a huge drink around, but the idea that you can add this to anything let’s you add it when you need it. I run and this kind of product sounds like a perfect addition to the running kit I keep in my car.

  6. We use DripDrop here as well. Hubby uses it when he plays soccer and I used it for the kids when they had to flu. It was a great way to be sure they stayed hydrated and they loved the taste. Love your recipe too. YUMMY!
