Now that fall and colder weather is approaching here in the Midwest, it’s time to start preparing for the transition. This means putting away my kids’ shorts and bringing out the jeans. Which, of course, will be too small.
So instead, the change of seasons usually means shopping.
There are a few essentials that we always seem to need stocking up on, whether fall or otherwise:

Sneakers
It’s amazing how fast kids can outgrow or grow out of their shoes, with feet literally trying to split out the sides. Which is why a good pair of sturdy sneakers are essential. Luckily, you can find a great selection of sneakers for kids at AlexandAlexa. They have sneakers with buckles or velcro, along with laces. You’ll be sure to find a good pair of shoes for your kids there!
Socks
To go with the sneakers, possibly even moreso, are socks. I don’t know what kids do with their socks, but they never seem to last more than a few weeks before a toe pops through.
Jeans
Whoever invented the adjustable elastic on kids’ jeans was brilliant, let me say. Now, I mostly have to worry about ripped knees, which happened a lot last year. If my oldest son hasn’t destroyed his jeans, though, the good thing is that I can pass them down to his brother. We still purchase a lot of jeans, however.
In fact, now that I think about, kids seem to be a lot like the Incredible Hulk. Busting out of their clothes when you least expect it. Maybe that’s why he’s my 7 year old’s favorite superhero.
