Kool-Aid Easter Eggs
A favorite part of Easter is always dying eggs. I mean, my kids like everything about Easter. Embracing the day and meaning, first and foremost. The Easter bunny, and candy, and baskets, and Easter dinner, and family. But they really do love dying eggs. What happens you run out of egg dye, though? Grab some packs of Kool-Aid for our Kool-Aid Easter Eggs!
It’s amazing what all you can do with packs of Kool-Aid. We’ve made numerous batches of play dough with Kool-Aid and this Kool-Aad Colors Sidewalk Chalk Paint, as well. It’s such a fun way to dye and make colors, and smells good, too!
For these Kool-Aid Easter Eggs you will need only 3 things. Those 3 supplies are hardboiled eggs, packets of Kool-Aid, and plastic cups. No vinegar, just easy as can be!
Kool-Aid Easter Eggs
Supplies needed:
- Hardboiled Eggs
- Packets of Kool-Aid – assorted flavors/colors
- Plastic Cups
Add 2/3 cups of tap water to each cup.
Pour 1 packet of Kool-Aid to each cup and mix well.
Place one hardboiled egg into each cup.
Let the eggs sit in the cups for 3-4 minutes while the color absorbs.
Take the eggs out and set on paper towels to dry. Try not to touch the egg too much when taking out of the Kool-Aid as the color can rub off. Do not dry off with a paper towel. They need to air dry so the color stays intact.
Each packet of Kool-Aid gives such a distinct, pretty color.
