I am not a morning person. Most days, I need a pick me up, but I’m not a fan of straight coffee. I do like lattes, however. The great thing about lattes is that you also get a serving of milk, and that does the body good.
Lattes are actually very easy to make without any special equipment, even with regular coffee beans.
1. Brew the beans
2. Heat the milk, whisk for foam
3. Pour 2 parts milk over 1 part coffee
You can also add all kinds of different flavorings for a special morning treat.
I was asked to list my favorite blogs to read first thing in the morning, while drinking a latte to pick me up. I have to admit, I haven’t been reading as many blogs as I once did. I need to get back in the habit. But these are a few of my favorites.
TMZ – I always go to TMZ first, because I do like my celebrity gossip.
The Bloggess – Jenny’s quirky sense of humor always has a way of making me laugh.
Amalah – Another whose humorous take on motherhood always makes me laugh.
Then there are those that I never miss a post from because I “know” them and love them, like nerdwagon. As a big plus, her daughters are absolutely adorable.
