The best part of any LEGO set for my kids is, without a doubt, the minifigures. They will scatter every new set they receive to a pile of pieces on the floor just to get to the minifigures first. Of course, they eventually love the set, too, and the creativity that comes with constructing their own scenes. The figures that each comes with really builds their excitement, however.
So it only makes sense that LEGO minifigures will be a part of our family holiday, whether stuffed in stocking or even in some ways that I never would have imagined before now. Minifigures will help us bring some holiday cheer when you make a LEGO Minifigure Family holiday postcard together.
This card was so quick and easy to make. I actually had a lot of fun picking outfits and hairstyles that go with all of our personalities. There was the cynical, pre-teen Jedi, the crazy Buzz who's minifigure is missing teeth just like him, and my happy wild-child Abby. I was able to make each a unique representation of myself and my kids, even the dog and cat made an appearance.
Happy Holidays, from our LEGO Minifigure Family to yours!
This is a keepsake to hold on to for many holidays to come. When it seems so long ago, this will help me look back and remember just how my kids were this Christmas season.
If your kids love LEGOs, as most do, along with the minifigures, I definitely recommend making your own postcard as a fun holiday greeting for family and friends. Or just keep it for yourself to look back on one day when the days of stepping on scattered LEGO pieces is long gone.
