A long time ago, in a galaxy far, far awayâ€¦ Actually, no. It wasn’t that long ago and it was right here. It was only a few weeks ago when I told you how we were about to embark on a journey to cleaner, whiter teeth. Healthier gums! With floss! We were taking part in the Listerine 21 Day Challenge.
We are now at the end of those 21 days of the Listerine Challenge and I can honestly say that I can tell a difference. After brushing with Listerine Whitening toothpaste, I can see that my teeth are brighter. Not to mention, I just love how clean my mouth feels after every brush. Brushing with the vibrant mint flavor is a sensation I’ve never received with other toothpastes.
However, as I told you in my previous post, brushing misses 75% of your mouth. Thus, there’s the swishing. Oh, the swishing! That was my favorite part. So much so that I had to buy another bottle of mouthwash halfway through the challenge. We swished a lot! The other 75% of my mouth didn’t know what hit it.
Now, here’s where I admit a few things. I still forgot to floss. I tried to remember, I did. I even resorted to tying a string of floss around my finger to remind me. The problem is that I tend to put the floss back in the cabinet where I forget about it. For me, I need to have it set out right in front of me, directly in my line of vision. Apparently taped to my forehead would be best.
Also, my kids. While their smiles still shined, I should have had a better brushing and mouth rinse system in place. As it was, sometimes they rinsed, most of the time they didn’t. This was my fault. We’ll get the hang of it, though, since I don’t plan on stopping at 21 days. We’re on this journey with Listerine until the end. It’s a tough world out there and we need all the cavity-fighting help we can get!
